History
The firm is steeped in history, having commenced the practice of law over 130 years ago.
The firm was commenced by Joseph Alfred Wilmoth who was admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria on 10 April 1869.
Joseph's son, Alfred Herbert Wilmoth, was admitted to practice on 4 March 1895, and from then on both Alfred and Joseph Wilmoth carried on this business under the name J. A. Wilmoth & Son.
In July 1988 the merger of J. A. Wilmoth & Son and Gilbert Field & Warne resulted in the creation of Wilmoth Field & Warne, which subsequently changed its name to its current business name, Wilmoth Field Warne.
Our firm's rich history and tradition has provided us a very solid grounding in the provision of legal advice and risk management.
