| HISTORYThe firm is steeped in history, having commenced the practice of law over 130 years ago. The firm was commenced by Joseph Alfred Wilmoth who was admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria on 10 April 1869. Joseph's son, Alfred Herbert Wilmoth, was admitted to practice on 4 March 1895, and from then on both Alfred and Joseph Wilmoth carried on this business under the name J. A. Wilmoth & Son. In July 1988 the merger of J. A. Wilmoth & Son and Gilbert Field & Warne resulted in the creation of Wilmoth Field & Warne, which subsequently changed its name to its current business name, Wilmoth Field Warne. Our firm's rich history and tradition has provided us a very solid grounding in the provision of legal advice and risk management. |
